OK! some interesting things from today's interview, since it was recorded sometime during the past week, galvao asked him to guess how the valencia gp would be, he said it would be very tough to even guess it, but first of all he really hoped and wished that badoer would be able to do what he has always worked for, he thought that the redbulls were going to win, webber and vettel, he said he hoped that kimi could get another podium but said that the mclarens looked tough, and probably lewis hamilton could be third, then they cut to felipe commenting how the gp actually was, shortly after the gp took place, he said it was surprising but that he was very happy to see rubens win, and he had mixed emotions because he felt happy for rubens winning, but at the same time he wanted to be there so bad, and watching a f1 gp from his home felt somehow surreal.

Interesting that you see the interview that was taped early in the week, then you see a shot of him from today (sunday) and you can see his injure looks better, really seems like he is one of those lucky folks whose body recovers faster.

His left eye vision IS NOT 100% better, but he says it's getting there, he is very impatient about it, he says it's something that gets better little by little, it's not like he wakes up in the morning and sees a big difference from the day before, but when he remembers how it was when he was in budapest compared to how it is now, that's when he feels better about it, and knows he will fully recover.

During the special interview he was asked about how he felt when he woke up in the hospital, and he said he opened his eye and the first person he actually remembers seeing was popo bueno on tuesday, and he said he kept closing his eye and opening again, and popo was still there so he was confused and asked "what are you doing here?", all 3 of them (galvao, felipe and popo) were recalling how massa was during those first few days when he was highly sedated, and they said his eye was a bit uncoordenate (and that made felipe laugh) he said they would be in one side and he would be looking to the opposite side, then after tuesday, after all tubes were gone, he said they would be talking in his room, and he would get out of bed and say " ok i gotta go" then he would start to walk out towards the door then realise he had the iv, and his head probably looking like a mummy and realise "oh right! i can't leave yet".

About the changes on next year's car, i'd imagine if anybody at all felipe would be happy with the no refueling, he said that AGAIN there's going to be a very different car, since the fuel cell is going to be larger, there's going to be a big re-design on the cars, sort of complained that perhaps in the last few seasons there is been far too many changes for every season. He said that now things are being formulated in a way that, you can no longer test endlessly, invest endlessly, and that will naturally even the field a little, but he thinks that eventually teams like ferrari and mclaren will be back on the top of the list.

Galvao said, the spanish news are reporting that Alonso will be in a ferrari next year, and they say the news will be given in Monza, asked felipe what were his thought, and he said he doesn't know anything about that, what he knows is that he has a contract with ferrari till the end of 2010, and so does kimi, anything beyond that he has no idea at all.

then he was asked to imagine (hypotheticly) alonso as a teammate, and he said he wouldn't have any problem with that, he said in ferrari he has always had good teammate, michael and kimi, he imagines that alonso would be the same, felipe says he thinks he's earned the respect of the team, he knows he has a deep friendship with ferrari, and he knows that the team always threats him well, and works for him too. mentioned how they did that when his teammate was michael, and they did that with kimi, and after kimi won a championship ferrari continued to give em both the same attention, last year he did a little better than kimi but couldn't win the championship, but just like after 2007 ferrari has continued to give em both the same treatment.. he imagines he would have no problem at all with alonso also.

He showed his favorite part of his home, and as you can all imagine did not at all look more like a ferrari motorhome, didn't have a huge black prancing horse statue right in front of the room, inside the glass doors, apart from a massive red painting with a silver shaped f1 car, the many little ferrari cars, and ferrari pictures, of old ferrari memorabilia, a huge montage of pictures of him with many members of the scuderia, the room wasn't themed ferrari.

There he had luciano burti's helmet, rubens barrichello's helmet, and tony kanaan. the room wasn't very big, but had a spacius couch, and of course in front of it, the home theater with a videogame. where massa and his friends spends time playing f1.

Raffa didn't make an appearance this time around, there were cameras all over his favorite place, during his "hot lap" for the brazilian gp, in one of the toughest corner's a cameraman passed inf ront of them, the shot looked nice, but massa quickly pointed out how that had an impact on his lap (you know when your kid is playing and you can't just do that, they might crash). the camera caught raffa watching them throu the glass, it seems that she prefers not being in front of the camera, but she follows felipe wherever he goes, taking extra care of him.

Galvao asked popo why the rushing to get to bdapest, and he explained that for the formula renault 2000 he took the seat that felipe left on that team, and he was racing in monza, his family couldnt be there, popo said laughing to galvao, "you should know you weren't there" (galvao was covering the f1 gp) so after a very bad crash he was brought to a hospital in monza and then to milan, and the whole time the only family he had there with him was felipe and felipe's family, so when he saw what happened to felipe he wanted to be there for him too, raffa called him and asked him to be there with them. before popo could arrive lucas de grassi stayed with them, and rubens (when he wasn't working).

In the end of the interview galvao handed felipe one of his ferrari memorabilia, the f2007 steering wheel which the team gave him as a birthday gift, and wished him a speedy recovery and that very soon he would be holding it again inside a ferrari car at the race track. and the interview ends with felipe pretending like he's sitting in the ferrari cockpit, holding the f2007 steering wheel and driving it, upshitfting and turning it as he was really driving the car.

Да не знаю, спорно... С одной стороны, ждут больше, конечно. С другой - может появиться излишнее рвение помочь, сесть за руль поскорее не долечившись как следует. А вот этого не хотелось бы очень.

Рвение Фелипе, к счастью, будет далеко не решающим аргументом для врачей в определении сроков его возвращения на трассу.

RB: I was a bit emotional in the conference there and I forgot to say that I dedicate this to the whole of Brazil. But I forgot a special one which is Felipe (Massa). This race was for me a little bit more emotional than normal. I never felt it was my fault the spring coming out of my car. But I never, never wished that that would happen and it went to him. There were some bad people who wrote it and said it came out of my car but that didn't matter. He is such a good friend and I wish him all the very best. What I put on the helmet is my truth. I just wish he can come back. I had two wishes. First of all was to wish that he was the same guy and he is. He really is the same guy and second I wish he is the same driver and I think he is going to be even tougher, so that is my wish.

RB: I just told him that I had something for him if he didn't mind. He said ‘of course not.' I tell you, I spent a whole afternoon with him and he has such a good memory. He said something about lines at this race here and for sure they did help, because he was superb here last year and so I watched the race after we'd spoken. I got home and I watched the race again – I like to do that sometimes because it's been a year on a new track, so just to refresh your mind. It was great that his colours were with me, that he was telling me some of the good lines that he had last year, so it was a win too.

Жаль, что клонирование не достигло таких высот, как в фантастике. Так бы вырастили нового Фелипе, тока здорового)) А потом бы и старый выздоровел, и выступали б они в одной команде!

Меня он очень порадовал, когда я услышал голос Роба Смедли:"Ты мог бы проехать на 6 сотых быстрее!". У меня лицо сразу улыбка озарила, из-за Роба. А если бы Бадоер не ошибся - мы бы Роба и не услышали.

Хм, кстати. Мне показалось, что у Роба даже интонация другая была, чувствуется, у него с Фелипе есть какая-то духовная связь, а с Лукой нету. Вот.

Давайте лучше вспомним, как Фелипе радовался в прошлом году, выиграв гонку в Валенсии. :)
